Consultation undertaken to date as part of the preparation of the Draft EIS has engaged with more than 3,000 members of the public, 50 government departments and service providers, 55 non-government organisations and 60 industry groups.
Feedback from consultation has influenced some of the technical work undertaken for the EIS and has shaped the directions taken in areas such as the development of the Master Plan for Roxby Downs.
BHP Billiton will continue to meet informally with stakeholders throughout the EIS process.

The statutory eight week public exhibition and comment period for the Draft EIS provides stakeholders with an opportunity to provide formal input into the EIS process through public meetings and formal written submissions sent to Planning SA. This eight week period is a formal government led consultation period and will be undertaken once the Draft EIS is released for public exhibition.
All written submissions received by Planning SA during the eight week period will be addressed by BHP Billiton in a subsequent report, the Supplementary EIS. |
